For the weekend, that is. Ashley went to visit her parents, so I spent my first weekend without her since we started dating. I texted my best friend to see what he was planning on doing and sure enough it's the same thing I used to be doing a couple of months ago: hitting up the bar scene.
Saturday night we went to the same local hangout we used to go to every weekend. I have been so consumed with Ashley for the last month I didn't realize that it had been over two months since I had been in a bar. Within an hour I realized how much I did NOT miss the bar scene and how lucky I am to have a girlfriend.
Back in December, I was having great sex with a girl, but she wasn't girlfriend material. I couldn't imagine introducing her to my family, so I stopped seeing her and went on the hunt for a girlfriend. That has led me to the point I am at right now, where I have a girlfriend, she has met my parents, and I don't want to go back to the bachelor life.
