Ive never lived with a guy before. Ive never even really considered living with a guy before. I guess its because I feel like sharing a place should be followed closely by sharing a last name. And Ive never been with a guy that had serious husband potential. Until now.
For the past 64 days D. and I have been spending almost every day together and sleeping next to each other. And I know that actually living together is more than just hanging out every day and getting into the same bed every night. But because weve sort of been forced by Cosmo to see each other so frequently, weve really begun to share the rest of our lives in very domestic ways. We have dinner together most nights (which means going grocery shopping together), we sleep together most nights (which means washing the sheets and doing the laundry together), we hang out in the evenings together (which means my shows are on his DVR and vice versa). The list goes on, but you get what Im saying.
Ive been starting to feel like I might be ready to take the next step with D. And after tonight, I feel a little bit more sure.
We started off by going grocery shopping together and it felt really nice. (Ha! Is that so cheesy?) Then we went to his place, made dinner, watched TV, then pulled out the Kama Sutra. And it all felt very routine-y...but in a good way. Dont get me wrongI dont want to fall into a boring, mundane, day-after-day thing with D. I still love to go out till four in the morning. But theres something really nice about being so comfortable with him. (Have you ever told a guy, I feel so comfortable with you? I recommend against it. I said it to D. and I could tell he didnt like it. Its almost as if they hear, Youre so boring compared to my exes. I dont feel like I have to try hard with you. Whoops.)
We chose the Magic Mountain, a twist on doggy-style (this did not go unnoticed by D., obviously) in which the girl is leaning on a stack of pillows. The illustration shows three pillows, but we needed way more. We used three bed pillows and two couch ones. It was the first time (in a long time...maybe even ever?) that I started in doggy-style position. Usually its uncomfortable and I need to be warmed up in another position beforehand. But D. reached around and stimulated my clitoris as he pushed in and I felt fine the whole time.
I say fine because in all honesty, it didnt feel all the great. The anglewith our torsos parallel to the bed and our thighs at 90 degree angles to itjust wasnt working for me. I prefer when I can lean down and help D. get at my G-spot. With Magic Mountain, I felt sort of stuck. (D. later told me he enjoyed it because, I could thrust against you and the pillows kept you from moving away from me. Uh, its not as if he usually thrusts and I go flying across the bed, but I get what he was saying.)
I figured D. would finish in doggy. But then he said, Turn over. I want to see you.We got into missionary, but with me still leaning against the mountain of pillows. And just like thatboomI climaxed. It came out of nowhere and I actually beat D. (Not to worry, he was close behind.)
We stayed there for a long time, looking at each other without saying antyhing I know, I know. It sounds so gag-worthy and cheesy. As if I were writing a romance novel or something. But I just felt overcome with the sensation of this is the guy for me.
Have you ever had a a-ha moment with a guy? When did it occur? What did it make your realize? Whats the sweetest thing a boyfriend or husband has done while you were having sex?And because I need help figuring out what to do next...if you ever lived with a guy, how long had you been dating when you moved in? Do you think getting engaged should go hand-in-hand with moving in?
